B17 Cab

Since the basic cab was displayed at our Open day on 10^th April, the cab has been returned to the premises of Elvar Engineering for work to continue. Many steel sections have been cut, shaped and prepared and the interior is starting to take shape. Items being made include the inside splashers, reverser pedestal, toolbox, associated angles and bracketry.

Outside, the cab has now gained handrails.

At the same time, glass for the side windows has been delivered, as has English Oak from Essex for our joiner to make the window frames; he is just waiting on the brass sections to be delivered to start work.
